Calvary Chapel is planning a new sanctuary and a classroom building on a parcel of property adjacent to the existing facility on the Monterey-Salinas Highway in Monterey, California. The new 22,000 sq. ft. sanctuary is designed to accommodate 950 seats in a radial pattern for worship services. Other spaces include a lobby, a bookstore, a mothers' viewing room, a staff room, a prayer room and garden. The design drawings have been approved by the Monterey Planning Department.
