DUDA California is a nationwide agricultural firm that shares 50,000 square feet of warehouse space with Dandy Cooling on Harkins Road in Salinas. In Phase 1, TJC was hired to upgrade their warehouses by enclosing loading docks with overhead doors and air-lock vestibules, plus a new dispatch office. In Phase 2, TJC remodeled 10,000 square feet of office space by gutting the old offices and adding two stories of new offices up through the existing metal building. In Phase 3, the sales office was expanded and more offices were added. Where forklifts once moved iced crates of celery, new administrative suites have been constructed. Bob Gray, President of DUDA California, envisioned the warehouses, shipping docks, and offices to be located all on the same site to use the existing buildings and property more efficiently. On the outside, TJC designed the new spaced to blend with the existing metal building; while on the inside, Jana Caron provided fresh contemporary office space and furniture.
